Arshad is the CEO and founder of ClearGears. Arshad also co-founded MetroNaps, a workforce fatigue-management solution that listed Google, Procter & Gamble, Cisco Systems, and Zappos.com among its clients. Additionally, Arshad also co-owns Crowd Interactive, a Ruby on Rails development company based in Colima, MX.
Jessica Jackley – CEO and Founder of Profounder, Co-founder Kiva.org
Prior to Profounder, Jessica served as CMO of Kiva.org, the world's first peer-to-peer micro-lending platform. Since its launch in 2005, Kiva has facilitated nearly $200M in loans, connecting lenders and entrepreneurs in 196 countries.
John Coonrod – Executive Vice President at The Hunger Project
John is the Executive Vice President of The Hunger Project, where he is responsible for research, advocacy and its programs in South Asia and Latin America. He works closely with the President and CEO on all aspects of strategy, including programs, fundraising and communications.
Sachita Shenoy - Co-Founder of Upaya (Incubator for BOP solutions)
Sachi has nearly a decade of experience in developing social enterprises to meet the needs of the poor and ultra poor, designing and implementing field interventions, and conducting social performance evaluations and investment advisory for a variety of organizations throughout Asia. Prior to Upaya, she spent three years at Unitus, where she most recently served as Director of Global Programs and led the Social Performance Management Implementation Project (SPM IP) and Sorenson / Unitus Ultra Poor Initiative. Sachi has also worked at SKS Microfinance Pvt. Ltd., New York-based CDVCA, JP Morgan Chase, and Price Waterhouse LLP. Sachi holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance and Entrepreneurship with High Honors from the University of Chicago.
Howard Friedman - Statistician and Economist at The United Nations Population Fund
Howard works as a statistician and health economist for the United Nations. He has been a lead modeler on a number of key United Nations projects including the ICPD @ 15 Costing, High Level Task Force on Innovative Financing, and the Adding It Up reports. He is credited with being the lead developer of the tool used for costing the health-related Millennium Development Goals. He is also an adjunct professor at School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
Elizabeth Clarkson - Director at Draper Fisher Jurveston
Elizabeth (Beezer) is a Director at Draper Fisher Jurveston. She manages the DFJ Global Network and serves on the board of ShareThis and the investment committee of DFJ Vina Capital.
